Digital Story (SCRIPT)
Introduction:
What are energy drinks? what do they do to our bodies? Energy drinks are a common commodity among the young people of today that give them energy , these energy drinks vary so much choices that makes it hard to choose between them.

History:

The beginning of energy drinks was tea and coffee which was found in Asia. Ethiopia was known for cropping coffee that is commonly served for guests in houses or coffee shops. Also Sri Lanka that is known of hosting tea, those energy drinks that are popular now a days because it was common between our ancestors at the past. But in 1962, an Japanese company called Taisho that have invented the first energy drink Lipovitan D drink. It was designed to help employees work hard well into the night. Lipovitan D contains taurine, the same ingredient found in many of today's energy drinks.

Definition:

Energy drinks known like red bull, power horse and coca cola which are common between our teenagers that contain a high amount of caffeine and taurine that gives them energy they need to stay awake all night

Example 1:
Energy drinks contain a lot of different kinds of legal energy stimulants and one main ingredient that is found in energy drinks is TAURINE. Taurine is an amino acid that supports neurological development and helps regulate the level of water and minerals in the blood. Taurine is also thought to have antioxidant properties. Taurine is naturally found in meat, fish and breast milk.

Example 2:
Another main ingredient found often in energy drinks, coffee and tea is caffeine. Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system giving the body a sense of alertness as well as dilates blood vessels. It raises heart rate and blood pressure and dehydrates the body.

Advantages and Disadvantages:

There are many advantages and disadvantages linked with energy drinks, it could be useful when you're training hard and need an extra boost of energy for a tough session but on the other hand it can be also unhealthy for teenagers because it has a high amount of caffeine that is unhealthy for teenagers. This could cause trouble in sleeping and some heart problems and may cause type 2 diabetes.

Energy drinks in UAE:
The energy drinks were not that common in the united arab emirates in the past. The energy drinks those days were pepsi, coca cola, mirinda and shani. But now there are many different kinds of energy drinks an adult or young child can get from nearby groceries or supermarkets.

My experience with energy drinks:
By my experience with those beverages I can tell that it was a nice drink to have because it gives you energy and makes your adrenaline go high. But in the future you will see the symptoms of those drinks you used to drink when you were a child.

Conclusion:
At the end, we should try our best to use these energy drinks in a good way that will benefit and try as much as we can to avoid it and avoid our children from getting their hand on these beverages.
